Josef began playing the guitar at the age of 11 and the piano at the age of 8. He has spent time in various bands and orchestral groups whilst at university and afterwards. His approach to teaching looks at the importance of collaboration as a musician as well as developing solo skills.
He studied physics at university specialising in the science behind acoustics and frequencies of the guitar. Josef is particularly interested in composing and music production and has direct experience in music technology. He enjoys infusing wide varieties of musical styles and aims to bring this openness and experience to his students.
Josef currently teaches guitar for the trust both privately and full class tuition. He also runs the Calderdale Youth Guitar Ensemble.
