Belinda began playing the piano and cello at the age of 11. She had lessons with Kirklees Music School and over the years progressed through the orchestras going on tour to America and a number of European countries.
Belinda studied in Huddersfield achieving ALCM, LTCL and then going on to Bretton Hall to study for the PGCE.
She started her teaching career with Nottinghamshire County Council and, in 1985, joined Calderdale Music Trust (formerly Calderdale Music Service) as a cello teacher.
Belinda is the Assistant Director of the Calderdale Music Trust and has spent many years in the classroom delivering curriculum music from Foundation Stage through to Year 6. She has organised and delivered numerous performances in schools and has had responsibility for large scale collaborative Music Hub performances.
