Calderdale Music Trust provides opportunities for children, young people and adults to learn a musical instrument and make music together in our ensembles.
We have many centrally run ensembles in two regional centres including orchestras, bands, guitar groups, folk group, jazz group and a variety of others. We will develop additional ensembles in other areas to address the needs of communities, ensuring appropriate and wide ranging opportunities.
We support the important ensemble work that goes on in schools including guitar ensembles, junior/senior bands, orchestra groups and choirs. We provide Whole Class Ensemble Tuition (WCET) and curriculum teaching.
Our services are also extended to adult learners, whom we welcome at lessons and adult ensembles.
We will continue to expand the opportunities in collaboration with cultural organisations for pupils to experience live music both as performers and audiences.
